Things I Learned about SEO Tools #Keywords PART II

Hello SPAN,

This blog post is a continuation from my last post, which provided an overview of the Google Keyword Tools; I will now summarize the second half of the topic. As a reminder, the first half provided a refresher of some of the important Keyword tools used in the SEO process, such as Google Adword keyword planner and Google Trends.

Below you can find best google tools for analyzing and targeting keywords.

1. Google Analytics

2. Google Webmaster & Google Suggestions

Google Analytics

In Google Analytics we can find target keyword is to look at the organic searches that are already generating traffic to a website. Before viewing you need to verify the website in Webmaster Tools and then Google Analytics will display some of that data in reports.

In Analytics use four metrics specific to web search data:

Impressions, the number of times any URL from your site appeared in search results viewed by a user.(Exclude from clicks on paid AdWords)

Clicks, the number of clicks on your website URLs from a Google Search results page. (Exclude from clicks on paid AdWords)

Average Position, the average ranking of your website URLs for the query or queries.

For example, site URL appeared at position 3 for one query & position 7 for another query, the average position would be 5 ((3+7)/2).

CTR, click through rate, calculated as clicks / impressions * 100

Google Webmaster Tool

Also, With Webmaster Tools you can view the "Top Queries" of search term to a website, under "Search Traffic" section.

From google analytics and webmaster search queries you can analysis keywords from the user point and the landing page of the website.

Google Suggestions (Auto Complete)

As you type in the search box, you can find information quickly by seeing search predictions that might be similar to the search terms you're typing. This helps to find the most searched term for the keyword.

At the bottom of the search results you can find list of suggested keywords related to "our query".

In my next blog, I will bring some more SEO tools for keyword researching are Majestic SEO, Ahrefs, Woorank, SEM Rush and Screaming Frog.
